Gadsden Campus GED Program Graduates 40+

A strong GED preparation program has become a vital part of our services in our residential programs; and we have experienced tremendous success through the years in all programs. During this issue we are proud to highlight the GED instruction on the Gadsden campus. We currently have two highly qualified and dedicated teaching professionals working with the students in the Northwood, Kennington and Mitchell programs.

Susan George formerly worked with the Attalla City Schools and was instrumental in establishing the first educational services for our Gadsden campus. After retiring from teaching, she decided to come back to The Bridge, Inc. as a part-time GED instructor – and she is doing a wonderful job.

Becky Cantrell is currently a special education teacher at Hokes Bluff High School (in addition to her work with our GED students) and is a very gifted and dedicated teacher. Becky has a special gift for motivating students and encouraging them to achieve their educational goals.

During the past year more than 40 clients from the Gadsden campus programs have received their GED! This is a tremendous accomplishment given the relatively short period of time on campus. A very special thank you goes out to Susan and Becky for their hard work and great outcomes.
