Christmas at The Bridge
Forty-seven clients celebrated their Christmas holidays at the Bridge - Gadsden campus. The clients experienced the joyous spirit of Christmas during a surprise party on Christmas Day.Donations received from local churches, employees, directors and other individuals, some from as far away as Texas, were used to purchase backpacks, MP-3 players and other gifts for each client. Due to the generosity of Academy Sports, K-Mart and Fred’s, the clients’ gifts were obtained at substantial discounts. Employees, directors and volunteers donated their time to wrap presents and play the part of Santa’s elves in handing out the presents on Christmas Day. New board member Gary Pruitt and his wife Sandy were on hand to help with the party. The Christmas party ended with an inspirational message delivered by Pam Spurlock reminding everyone of the meaning and spirit of Christmas and that the Bridge community truly cares about each client. The Christmas Day celebration was coordinated by Mark and Pam Spurlock whose efforts resulted in a special Christmas Day on The Bridge campus. |
