Pickens County REACH Transitions

The REACH Program in Carrollton, Alabama provides a variety of alternative educational and therapeutic opportunities for youth referred by the Pickens County Juvenile Court. REACH (Redirection, Education, Accountability, Collaboration and Home Stability) encourages building core values by addressing responsibility, self-control, respect for others, improved socialization skills, and increased academic achievement.

The program was established in 2011 to provide intensive, structured programming for adjudicated youth to reduce the number of commitments to the Alabama Department of Youth Services. The Bridge contracted with Pickens County through Judge Lance Bailey and Chief Probation Officer James Fields in 2013 to operate the program.
